The award, now in its fifth edition, is an important demonstration of how Italian wedding professionals are dedicated to helping couples organize their most beautiful day. The 2020 edition of the Italian Wedding Awards

 

The Italian Wedding Awards 2020 were the most important and symbolic edition since the award was founded. The wedding sector suffered a strong arrest in the past months due to Covid-19, but our companies faced the challenge of this negative period, demonstrating that they know how to perform quality work even in difficulties.

 

In fact, it is not easy to juggle sudden changes of dates and follow new rules for the safety of all. Despite this, the Italian suppliers of the bridal sector have amply shown “what we are made of”.

 

The Italian Wedding Awards 2020 were therefore for the winners a further recognition of the quality of their work and an opportunity to relaunch the business.

 

The stages of the competition

 

As every year, the Italian Wedding Awards 2020 took place in two phases, one at regional level and one at national level. During the first phase, it was the couples who left their review online to recommend their favourite wedding professional.

 

In fact, it is estimated that a couple turn to at least 12 companies when organising their wedding, and these include wedding attire, reception, photography, etc … so, who but them can then decide which were the best?

 

Five of the best participants from each region are then evaluated by a technical jury and a press jury. The national judges will take into consideration the content of the reviews, websites, social profiles of the candidates and will ask for further material to evaluate their choice and decide the best regional operator.

 

The chosen five from each region have the opportunity to compete at the national final, this year held entirely via internet.

 

Italian Wedding Awards 2020 – The regional winners in Umbria

 

The Umbria region, famous for its beautiful landscapes and often chosen by foreign couples as a setting for their wedding, distinguished itself at the Italian Wedding Awards 2020, winning several awards at regional level. Let’s view these regional winners below:

 

•     The prize for the best wedding venue in Umbria went to the Castello di Petrata (Assisi).

•     Dream On Wedding wins for the second consecutive year (2019 and 2020) the regional award in the Destination Wedding Planner category for the Umbria region.
