DESCRIPTION
Petrata Castle was built in medieval times, in 1340, along the Franciscan path between Assisi and Gubbio.
Over the years its intended use has changed more than once: it was born as a Villa, it was later reinforced and fortified by Sperello Sperelli, who converted it into a real fortress.
Later then, by the Tini family, it was used as a country residence at the end of the 17th century and only much later (1996) did the two spouses Romualdo Landrini and Giuseppina Orbi make it the structure we know today. The subsequent restorations then allowed to consolidate and expand all the services of the relais, with suites, swimming pools, banquet room and wellness center.
