Petrata Castle was built in medieval times, in 1340, along the Franciscan path between Assisi and Gubbio.
Over the years its intended use has changed more than once: it was born as a Villa, it was later reinforced and fortified by Sperello Sperelli, who converted it into a real fortress.
Later then, by the Tini family, it was used as a country residence at the end of the 17th century and only much later (1996) did the two spouses Romualdo Landrini and Giuseppina Orbi make it the structure we know today. The subsequent restorations then allowed to consolidate and expand all the services of the relais, with suites, swimming pools, banquet room and wellness center.
This site have 20 rooms available and each has unique characteristics, for all possible stays that you may wish, divided into some categories: Classic, Superior, Junior Suite and Suite.
Each of these mixes in different ways the typically medieval atmosphere, wooden beams, stone walls and elements of high historical value, with the most modern comforts. The Petrata Castle is a castle but this does not mean depriving yourself of the comforts of modern life.
The property offers a wide range of on-site services, starting from catering up to an exclusive SPA, sports facilities and a children’s playground.
Whether you want to relax in a Jacuzzi with a view of Assisi, take a swim in the estate’s swimming pool or organize a tennis match with friends, this is the right place!
