DESCRIPTION
Posta Donini, a prestigious period residence and 4-Star hotel.
The origins of the building date back to 1579 when the Conti Donini family decided to build this beautiful Villa in Umbria near Perugia and Assisi. Over the years, the structure was first renovated in the mid-1700s and then masterfully frescoed in the second half of the 1800s by Francesco Appiani.
Thanks to the presence of many paintings by Nicola Giuli, the mausoleum dedicated to the countess Laura Donini and the many artifacts dating back to the Etruscan era make this location a real period museum, so much so that it is bound to the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage.
CAPACITY
The Posta Donini Hotel has 48 rooms of different types: Classic, Executive, Deluxe, Junior Suite and room number “103” is a designer Junior suite. The rooms combine the charm of period elements and comfort, some of which also integrate services and access for the disabled.
The botanical park of Posta Donini extends over 2 hectares and surrounds the period residence. Here, time is pleasantly marked by nature, an ideal place to relax under a majestic 250-year-old Ginkgo Biloba (whose leaf has become the symbol of the Posta Donini wellness hotel) or simply take time off and relax by the pool.
