Actually, Villa Pianciani is part of a larger complex, on the road between Spoleto and Montefalco, which also includes a chapel, a 3-storey house (formerly used as kitchens), and a large two-storey building once used as stables and remittances.
Furthermore, outside the complex but inside the property, the Casale dei Rombi, a classic 2-storey country house, completely independent.
The complex was built by the Pianciani family at the end of 1700, who used the structure as a summer residence, and then later passed on to the descendants of Countess Matilde Pianciani, with the extinction of the male line.
Subsequently, in the 90s, the branch of the family had inherited it and completed a long and meticulous restoration work on the complex, which includes a structural consolidation but also a restoration of much of the original design of Villa Pianciani, in agreement with the Superintendence to the Fine Arts of Umbria.
The structure can accommodate 40 people at the same time in rooms of different types. Ideal for large events.
