It was really fun to meet Melisa & Kit, as a “true Spaniard” this bride was exuberant, lively and with a great determination in wanting to organize a fabulous wedding in Perugia.
I must say that her efforts paid off .. the hot summer day was perfect for an outdoor evening wedding and the wonderful historic Villa just outside Perugia was a fabulous backdrop for an event with a hint of royal style.
Melisa and Kit celebrated their wedding with a Catholic rite at the majestic St. Peter’s Basilica, the ancient cathedral of the city. The complex of the Abbey of San Pietro dates back to 966 and is of immense artistic value, preserving works by Perugino and Vasari.
Inside the monastic complex you can visit a medieval garden with plants of rare beauty. Upon exiting the majestic church, the couple’s guests were delighted with a warm, well-rounded toast.
The reception took place in the prestigious Torre di Pila location, a splendid villa on the outskirts of the city, an ideal location to celebrate a wedding in Perugia.
The aperitif by the pool, in the cool shade of the giant pine trees and the reception in the side garden were the places chosen by the couple for the various phases of the reception.
We installed classic party lights and round tables decorated with antique silver candlesticks. A very classic and traditional atmosphere but that did not weigh down the atmosphere that on the whole was sober and very elegant.
The cutting of the cake was a very emotional moment .. the guests moved to the amphitheatre of the villa along a path lit by candles. On the “stage” of this small outdoor amphitheatre we installed a magnificent antique swarovski chandelier that intensely refracted the light in the surrounding garden, an enchanted atmosphere!
The party got merry on the terrace of the villa with wild dances until late at night.
